How I'm fixing the cracks in my creative process
I found myself in a dangerous environment that kept me from making anything.
This video is about me literally repairing a giant crack in the foundation of my studio/garage, but it’s so much more than that.
I’ve had this crack in the foundation since we bought our home nearly twenty years ago, but it rarely kept me from making my art. However, when I got rid of a dilapidated desk, used my workbench instead, and rearranged the entire space, the placement of the crack became more of a hindrance.
I stopped working in the studio because I didn’t enjoy the experience. That is until I decided to make a fundamental change by fixing that crack and creating a studio space built for making things.
This is the first project to get me back on the path of constant creativity.

I’m new to substack and was looking for how other artists are using it. The mix of blog and video is really cool here. Love your personality, too. 🙌 Thanks for making this!
